I have been giving this topic a lot of thought for a while now and even though I am not the one on this board to voice my opinion, I thought I would give it a shot. Right now Ford has their designing pencils in high gear as they are set to release the 2004 Mustang and GT-40 and have already released the Marauder, Mach 1, Cobra, and Lightning. I am Chevy guy, but I was rather excited when Ford returned to those great vintage styling cars of the 60's. All those Ford guys must have GIANT smile on their face. Chevy has been creating cars such SSR, and other concepts that have the potential to catch the eye of a buyer but what is stopping Chevy from creating "that" car all of us and the rest of the Chevy fans want to see? It seems like Chevy has stopped focusing on cars and has brought Trucks and SUVs to center stage. I saw a Silverado SS at Curry Chevrolet the other day and it is a nice looking truck but wheres the muscle car? I guess I am trying to find a solution for the gap in Chevy's line up since the abolishment of the Camaro. The Corvette Z06 was a nice treat, but the Corvette should always be Chevy's fastest-sleakest car. I think we all need to see a retro-style muscle car come back into action. Post your opinion. Agree-Disagree it doesn't matter.

It's a nice thought, but I guess we would should be relieved Chevrolet hasn't introduced the new Corvette SUV for 2004. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ ![]() ![]() |

I couldn't have said it better. Ford is definetly red hot right now. In the new Muscle Car Enthusiast there is a write-up on the new GT-40s. That car looks AWESOME!!
As far as a new GM muscle car goes, it looks like we're stuck with this new "GTO." OK, so its available with an LS1/6spd...cool. My beef with the car is it's styling. I realize that GM is trying to do the best with what it's got. However, I've always said that if you're going to do it, do it right the first time or not at all. This thing looks almost exactly the same as the GP/Grand Am, it's got no hood scoops, etc. Thanks, but no thanks GM. I'll just drive around our 1967 GTO when we're finished restoring it. Dan

GM definitely took a few steps backwards while Ford was taking big steps forward. I hope GM can recover but fortunately for me, I'm not in the market for a new car anyway.

Every issue of Camaro Performers has a "possible rendering" of what the 2005 Camaro should look like. They don't mean anything unless you have a drawing from the General?

That's something I don't have.
I got these emailed to me & I'm sure they're concept cars. They look like the Australian Holden cars, just a little more dressed up! Thought some one would be interested as I haven't seen any pics on this site.
