Default Question: Cowl Hood for a 1970 Chevelle.

The question is:

In 1970 was the cowl hood an option by itself or was it an option the was included in the C56 = I/P side vent, /70 Upper level vent/ Astro Ventilation?

Thanks.

Default Re: Question: Cowl Hood for a 1970 Chevelle.

Let me put it this way.
In 1970,when you ordered an SS Chevelle, regardless of engine size, you got the SS Not working flapper door "Bulge Hood".This was standard with the SS Z15 or Z25 RPO equipment.
If you wanted a "working flapper door hood",you had to upgrade to RPO ZL-2.
This hood came with RPO D88 Hood stripes and Hood pins automatically.
This is for 1970 only.
It was a Regular Production Option by itself, but only with the SS Equipment, and was not a apart of RPO C56 Instrument panel Vent,or Astro Ventilation.
