I was digging through my parts stash and sorting seatbelts. How does one read the codes?
For example: 46 A 69 Thanks!

Allen,
To the best of my knowledge your example would have been produced in the 46th week of 1969, hence would have been used in a 1970 model car. I believe also that the 'A' is a seat belt manufacturing plant code, and I don't know if there is any way to decipher that.

ok im going to give it a try here,i looked at my 69 07A build z and the belts are 24A69, my 01C chevelle belts are 50K70,so im assuming the first two numbers are the number of the week in the year at the end of the code, the A might be a body code or application code but im not certian.just my thoughts. Yes.
The first two numbers are the week in the year, the last two are the year made. The middle letter is a Plant code. |
