Default Need `69 Yenko Camaro details...

Hello everyone. I am starting work on a Yenko Camaro model, and I am trying to get the details just right. I`ll add pictures of the Corvettes (and a Camaro) I`ve built if it lets me, so you can get an idea of what I am trying to do.
Anyway, in particular I am trying to get chassis detail info. Did these cars have the chambered exhausts like on the stock 302 Z/28`s? I am assuming the underside was primed with body color over-spray? It would really be helpful if somoene could post underside pics or provide links to pictures. Thanks!

Try "worldwide muscle cars" web site (it is posted on the site somewhere. They have a Rally Green Yenko restored by the "Super Car Workshop" that gives some accurate bottom side pics that may help you.

I agree with Tom B. The rally green car is a very good example to use for a correct scale recreation. Chambered exhaust was not used on any of the 69 Yenko Camaros, they all had the standard "cross-flow" muffer and twin tailpipes. I'm sure you can get a better idea of the rest of the detail stuff from the website Tom mentioned. Nice work by the way... I haven't built a model in quite some time, and your pics are giving me the modeler's bug again!

Nice work is right! I have built numerous models for my local hobby shop. Your selling the white Vette on e-bay right now. Did the A/C compressor come with the car model or is it an add on? Nice touch. I have numerous questions for you. I will send you a PM.

Thanks so much for the link! That was *exactly* what I was looking for. The pictures on that site will be great reference. The one I am building is green as well, only the darker "fathom" green.
Thanks for the complements everyone.

I`m not sure which car you mean, but nothing except wiring, hoses, and linkages were added to the engine compartment of the `68. The same is true of the `59. The alternator/generator on the `59 is quite large, so it looks somewhat like an AC compressor, if that`s what you mean.
I`ll look for your IM.
