It's getting close to that time. I was just wondering if there were any more Supercars attending that haven't been added to the list yet. I know there were more than 46 of them made.. Let's get them all out guys. This is going to be one major event!

This afternoon I went over the list. I believe it stands at 47. I have had 3-4 cancellations, due to family conflicts and cars not finished, but these spots were filled very nicely. One, a top notch COPO Chevelle, and ironicly (as the sYc gets roasted elsewhere on this board), a couple of 2002 ZL-1s.
Did talk to Joel today, he may be more excited then the rest of us.

Mike, As per 2002 cars indoors, yes, some will be, but I did limit it, but not for the reasons most think. It was done simply because of available room. The building will hold 60-70 cars, and with there being 69 2002 ZL-1s, 200? Berger, Hotrod, etc cars, I had to do something, Thus, except for a couple of obvious exceptions, I limited it to owners who own both. And the reason I choice this path, those cars (from 1969) are part of the core of the supercar hobby and the ones I wanted to attract. I did offer to GMMG and another interested party to rent the center on Thursday for a indoor GMMG event, and then on Friday all cars go to the track, and Sat. would be indoors for the older cars. They declined my offer.
Even though indoor parking is limited, all musclecars, old and new, are welcome at the track on Friday and also welcome to display outdoors on, next to the center, on Saturday. Have heard from several late model owners, including a couple of 2002 ZL-1 owners, who may do this. All in all, simply trying to do the best I can with a delicate situation.

Got a call from Jim Hughes this evening, who is in route from the great state of Washington to Collinsville for SCR6. Had some interesting news. Along the way, i think in Spokane, he stopped at a Camaro show, with his Duece. At the awards, he received a huge trophy for Best of Show, non-Camaro.
As we spoke, Jim seemed very excited about SCR6, including drag racing the Deuce.

Well, engine is back in the Camaro, and it moves under it's own power (hopefully a little more "briskly" than before). We're gonna grab a bite to eat, load, clean up, and then we're headed north.
Hasn't rained in what seems like months, yet there's a 60-70% chance tomorrow. Nice... |
