I know everyone hates these "what's it worth" questions but I found a 1970 SS454 Monte Carlo that is all original with full documentation, silver/blue with 88K miles for sale. It needs a repaint though. With a new paint job, would this be a $15-20K car? I'm open to opinions so toss em at me.

In the New York Times a few months ago there was a 1970 Monte Carlo with 55K original miles, SS454 #'s enegine, drivetrain original, original paint with docs going for $12,500 obo. The car was Carolina Blue on Blue, with a white top.
Did anyone find out more info on this car? -Dan

Jeff, try going to Hemmings and using their average asking price calculator. It's a place to start. You can also buy their pricing guide.

Jeff,
For reasons unknown, the Montes just do not bring much money. If the car is an otherwise decent original, with just a new paint job, my guess would be $10K - $12K. Unless you can buy it REALLY cheap, probably not a money maker
