Default Made it

Thanks Rob I got here. Memphis motor Sports park last race of the year is tomorrow night. Weather should be good.I'am about 10 miles from the track and the great weather box says it is 29.93 bar 75 deg temp 58.5 humit density alt 1749. I'll be there with the new wheelie bars on to test them out. Once again thanks a lot
Larry

Glad to see you here, Larry! Doesn't look like I'll make it down tonight, just too much going on here.

Now, give up the goods on your C/SA L-78!!

Hey Rob...I'm just curious. Do you make any timing/tuning changes for density altitude? If your local d/a is 1749, what adjustments do you make to race out here [in the summer] where d/a could easily be 2550?

Not so much playing with timing as with jetting. I realize they're semi-connected, but we have to watch what we do since we only have 6" of tire to work with. The Camaro seems to like 32-34 degrees of total timing, which took me a bit to figure out. Any more/less and it slows down.

That 1749 is pretty decent for this part of the world. Just basically jetting it down to account for the DA...the sad part is I don't currently have a weather station, so I've gotta "snoop" around the pits and hopefully run into someone thats got one. But most of the time I just guess! I'd KILL to have the DA that they get out at E-town or down at No Problem...both of those places get down to, or below, sea level!

Any recommendations on a portable weather station?

Yep...I'll get back to you on Monday [portable weather station] after I ransack my desk.

I appreciate all the advice on one I can get! I don't need anything fancy, no ET predictor etc. I'm kind of looking at something like this:

Hmmm...that looks like a pretty compact unit. Pretty neat.
