Default Jerry MacNeish

Jerry went 5 rounds at Bristol this past weekend. Had a real good showing with his E/S OLD RELIABLE 1968 Z/28 camaro. Only 4 speed car left in competition in the last few rounds.

Thats cool, its a neat car to watch run. I usually see him at the Div 1 race at US 13 in July when we run there.

Bobby Warren won. With a 1997 LT-1 firebird. AFI stick. He beat Mr. Macheish in round 5. I met bobby in the mid 70's He had a 1967 Camaro 295 hp 350 in SS/IA. back then.

I didnt realize Booby Warren was still at it....When I built my 69 C/Super Modified car (attached) in the late 70's, I bought my first engine from Bobby Warren. He brought it out to Seattle in 1978 and stayed at my home while racing at the Fallnationals.......and subsequently went to Calif and won the World Finals in Super Stock......Chuck Sharin

Sam, dont think so. We will run Beaver Springs in a couple weeks but I wont be there as the car is still at the chassis shop. We will run there again over labor day. That and US 13 are about as far east as we go. Chuck, good looking car. Do you know if its still racing?

Bobby Warren was teamed up with Haywood Register. They were farmers back then. I followed those guys for years. Always had Stock and Super Stock entries. Ran well and won often. Warren's son races now. Had many of small block cars runnung under the record. NHRA needs to help the 302 guys out! There factor is too high for a 302/290 HP. car. (D,E,and F Stock)

Its been a while since I have been to the grove. What is the Dutch Classic race? If its just a big bracket race I probably wont do it, depends on classes. Might be able to put the big motor in and turn up the wick a bit.
