As I understand Dennis, all driveshafts for 69's are the same with one exception being the Turbo 400 (bb applications) has the trunion flanges in line with each other whereas the rest are clocked about 30 degrees apart. Quite a bit of info on CRG forum along with a survey of owner's cars and their observations to document this topic and its variants.

Does anyone know why the clocked the u-joints? This goes against everything the text books say about driveshaft design, UNLESS the pinion is offset left/right relative to the tailshaft, along with having a up-down offset. You get into some weird vector math when designing shafts in 3D space that often has the trunnions end up "clocked".

Have never seen a definitive answer.
You can read here: http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=7861.0 That thread has links to even MORE threads on the topic.

Het Kurt, off the top of your head could you give the lengths of all 3 driveshafts end to end? Or maybe someone has them listed on another site. Thanks.
