Default Date code on side mirror???

I have an NOS side mirror for a Nova it is coded 9-DACR-8. Any help?

9=Month September
Dacr=abbreviation for manufacturer
8=Year 1968 or 78

Most likely '78, I think the mfg in '68-'70 was DMI.

The mirror should read Month=12 /DMI= Donnelly Mirror / 8=1968.
The mirror you have is a service part...BKH

Lowmile,

Service replacements a have glued in mirrors. Originals have a flat snap ring holding the mirror glass in.
