Default Mule on chassis dyno today making a 200 mph pull

This is a dyno run made to simulate wind resistance etc.The 200 mph pull was at 12 lbs boost. The drag coefficient program only goes back to 1973 models so they entered the Mule as a 73 Nova which is actually probably a little boxier in shape than a 69 Camaro. It did 0-200 in a calculated 8/10's of a mile. Pulled 120-180 in 6 seconds. Made about 800 hp at the rear wheels at 14 lbs boost. Tires were smoking on the dyno at 120 mph. At 12 lbs boost is was making 750 hp at the rear wheels. It pulled almost 180 mph in 5th at 7200 rpm. I have no torque figures yet. This is all stuff I was told over the phone today so stuff might get clarified more by tomorrow. This is a blast... Dyno video

Yeah they were.. Charley...you may want to invest in a bit of insulating wrap on those headers or carry a good extinguisher !

You think maybe it was making power so fast it just couldn't dump it fast enough out the exhaust??--that was very bright----

Ha ! That is normal for turbo setups pulling really hard. Even the wastegates were red.

Allright then break out the Oscar Myers----

The turbo pipes on my buick would creak and pop with the heat and the pipes would get reddish in color but never saw it extend into the headers-that's mucho power--Are the headers ceramic coated Charley??...

WHOA thats pretty stout. Will there be any problem with the paint on the hood bubbling from so much heat??
