Default 1971 hemi

I Was talking to a guy in my office today. He was telling me about his daughter's car 1971 Dodge challenger Hemi convert. He was wanting to know how tell if it is a Hemi, she has owned the car 20 years??

Real funny Hey I trying to be help him out he's my Attorney. She was told the car was worth 90,000 I told him I would do some checking around. Help me.

Well, for starters, the car is a clone as no Hemi ragtops were built in 1971.

There were Hemi ragtops made in '71 (approx. 9 cudas - Bill Wiemann's $2mil white car is one of them). Not sure if any Challenger ragtops were made in '71.

There were no hemi Challenger convertibles made in 1971. One reason was that there were no Challenger R/T convertibles made in 1971, only base model Challenger convertibles and the largest engine available in that model was the 383/300 horsepower magnum. If you're friend has the VIN and the fender tag info I can tell you what it is.
