Default ZL2 hood-underhood light

With the engine compartment light on a ZL2 hood, does the light fixture move to the passenger side on big block cars-like on the standard hood? The A.I.M. page U26 A1, A2 only shows the big block location for standard hood, and only shows drivers side for ZL2 hood. My original ZL2 hood only has dimples for the light on the drivers side.

Small block on driver's side, big block on pass side.

If I remember correctly, the light followed the location of the dipstick (BBC's = pass. side, SBC's = driver's side)...

Wow that's amazing: something Chevrolet actually makes sense! That way you can find the dipstick in the dark.

While we know that to be true for standard hoods, is there any proof that it also applies to ZL2, since it it not shown that way in the A.I.M.? Does anyone here own such a car?
