Called Hart Beat City the people reproducing the GM 3 core
and 4 core rads with the tags. I asked them what rad came with the L78/68 camaro with 488 gears at first one of the workers told me it would be a 3core rad, then later I called back to order the rad
and the boss came on the phone and told me with no hesitation that the 4 core rad was installed when 488 gears were orderd in 1968.???????

68 Nova's used a 3 core rad on the 375 cars. I think this is the same as a camaro used. The Gibb Nova's used a 4 core in 68 .

The 4 core rad was ordered by the origional owner and is
right on the origional bill of sale.I guess there were some exceptions!

Not quite. The order sheet shows he *tried* to order V01, but the GM of Canada record shows that it was not installed (because V01 was not available with a 396).
It should have a 3 core. I have a broadcast sheet for an L78 4.56 car, 3 core too.

Kurt
Thanks for the info I will contact the origional owner
to ask him the question? GM sometimes did strange things on the assembly line.

GM Canada docs donot show all components installed as stated in their letter. This particular car was a January build. Are there any 1967 375 hp cars documented with the VO1 rad?

Thanks Tony for pointig that out. So you are saying that
It could verrywell have been installed in the car at the factory, especialy when the owner was workng for GMs engineering department. The GM documentation does not show the rad however the rad is on the original bill of sale and so are the 4.88 gears. I wonder if that purchase order went to the COPO office for their aproval first???I am in the process of contacting the original owner. Just think, could this car be the first 68 copo built in 4th week of Jan 68??
I will keep you posted.

Canadian docs do not show components, they show options.
V01 was not available with a BB. I spent mucho hours researching this for my rad article.

This particular bill of sale was used as an contract / order form, before the car was built. I assume the final bill of sale adjusted for the missing options.
