Just looking for help decoding a Los Angeles built 70 Camaro Z28 Protect-O-Plate. It looks like the dealer stamped this one because the original owners name is not on tape. The engine was replaced in 70 due to an overheating problem with a CE replacement LT-1 motor. Any help would be appreciated.

I have one similar for my COPO..it appears to be a transfer of warranty POP..IE the car was traded while still under warranty and the warranty was transfered to another customer with a new POP but unlike the original with all of the cars info on it....motor trans rear option etc.

That's a second owner POP when the 2nd or 3rd owner purchased the 5/50 warranty. CRG will have more info on it but I've seen several of those and talked to the 2nd owner of an original JL8 car who purchased the extended warranty and ended up using it for head repairs. Unfortunately it doesn't show the original engine, trans or rear.
