You have a LOS built car so there will be NO "X" code on it. Norwood cars yes but after a certain date.
Heres some good reading from the folks over at the Camaro Research Group (CRG) Click on line item #11 http://www.camaros.org/numbers.shtml

It's a Fisher Body scheduling code that the LOS plant used and really has no meaning that is useful.

Thank you HawaiianCamaro and Jonesy. This is good info. I have owned the car for 28 years and am currently restoring it back to the original configuration. Any information I can find will be helpful... Again.. Thank you both. The car originally came with a M22 transmission with no stripes. It is fathom green. I use to bracket race it. The best run was 12.40 @ 117mph on street tires with nitrous.. It has been fun but time to bring it back to the original state.. Thanks again.
