Default Talk about Flashbacks

Well, being that today was just beautiful here in central Florida, 80 degrees, low humidity and clear blue skies, I just HAD to take the Camaro out for a drive.

Well, I get about 6 blocks from my house and I'm sitting at a red light when a gorgeous 71 Challenger pulls up next to me. This car appeared every bit as nice as mine. Plum Crazy purple with 383 magnum emblems on the hood scoops, rear wing, slats, rallies...a really cool looking car.

Anyway, the owner and I exchange compliments and then HE starts revving his engine..I take about 1/billionth of a sec to think this through and I start revving mine...The light changes, and off we go with a couple of 4000 RPM holeshots...Freakin-A!!! It was just like being 20 again... !!! Well, we ended up running through 3 gears and I WAS slightly ahead but I'm not sure who shut down first so I won't claim victory..But I was ahead!!!... !

About 2 blocks later we both pulled into a parking lot and got to know each other a little. Seemed like a nice guy with a great car. I guess it was restored by a well known Mopar shop down here and while I am no expert on Challengers I can say this one was way above the norm and certianly fitting of the type of cars I see on this site. Hopefully he'll join us.

What a great day!!

No Jack, thank YOU...If not for all your hard work I couldn't have all this fun

And while we're thanking everyone, how bout a big high-5 to the guy who did the head work. First gear saw slightly north of 7K..That wasn't the plan but as they say, shiit happens..hehe
