My dad gave me a bunch of molds for Corvette parts. '65-'66 fenders, '64-'67 roof, along with some later model stuff. When I seen the '67 427 hood mold sitting there I didn't even think it was anything else since the rest of the molds were for Corvette. I list them all on ebay and sold most of them to one guy. He was going to buy the hood at $350 with the buy-it-now option. I came home to measure and weigh it for shipping and I realized something. This isn't for a Corvette at all. I took it into my garage and removed the hood on my '67 RS/SS Camaro (currently for sale). I dropped the mold perfectly into the hole. So what I thought was a '67 Corvette hood mold is actually a mold for a '67 Yenko or Baldwin-Motion hood!!! Though this mold is only the upper portion it would be really easy for someone to make the lower half and be ready to make one piece Yenko and Baldwin-Motion hoods. This is not for a hood scoop on an existing hood this is for the real one piece hoods.
My question is, what do you think it is worth? I don't think it is worth thousands but probably more than the $350 I was about to take. http://seriousoverkill.com/proforums...p;d=1133406249 http://seriousoverkill.com/proforums...p;d=1133406249 http://seriousoverkill.com/proforums...p;d=1133406249 http://seriousoverkill.com/proforums...p;d=1133406249 |

I would expect any original Corvette fiber glass to be a great find. Assuming it is not crack or damaged. Try posting it on the Corvette Forum.
Can't veiw the pictures.

I think that is the whole mold. Only the top side will have a finished look. Looks like you could make cool hoods from that. Maybe do carbon fiber hoods...Neat..

No. He got these from a body shop in the Northwest who got them from a fiberglass guy. My dad knows how to do fiberglass but didn't do anything with these molds and when he moved to a different house he gave them to me. I took them due to them being for a Corvette. I thought about producing some parts through a fiberglass company but I just don't have the time to mess with them so I put them on Ebay.
