Default 72 Z28

I just bought a 72 Z-28. The car is complete but needs a total restoration. The car came with some really nice options:

- Z 28
- M22
- tilt
- VF3 bumpers
- P.W.'s?

I was surprised when the car showed up and it had P.W.'s. I have the original dealer order form but it doesnt list P.W.'s as ordered, maybe they were added to the order later?...any ideas if the option could have been ordered?

The N.J. dealership still existed and I called to see if they possibly had any old paperwork from the 70's in storage, their first answer was no but I'll keep asking around...who knows the old files may be laying around somewhere?

anyone close to Sullivan Chevrolet. Roseville park, N.J.?

Although the (RPO A31) powerwindows option was available in 67-69 Camaros, it wasn't available again until the 73 model year.

Are you sure it's not Sullivan Chevrolet in Roselle Park, NJ? I pass that when I need to call on customers in Elizabeth NJ.

[/ QUOTE ]your 100% correct, it is in Roselle Park, N.J. when I called in they said they are a small dealership, they remembered the orig saleman listed but he has long since retired and it's more than likely the paperwork has been chucked long ago...or not, I hope.

If you ever have a desire to walk in and check out new Chevies, I would appreciate if you probed deeper about the possibility of old paperwork.

as fas as the P.W.'s, I'm guessing the original owner had them added at some point in it's life, everything else matches up against the original dealer invoice. The fortunate part is that the entire drivetrain as well as the starter and alt are original to the car.

I bought this car to try my hand at a ground up resto somewhere down the line. I hope I can lean on the memberships' resto guru's for advice on my maiden voyage.

Jeff,

I will swing over to Sullivan when I am up in Elizabeth, NJ next time. Maybe I can score some dealer emblems or other similar items for you.

Mike

Mike..thanks a ton for your offer. You never know, the right person may know of a storage area that has all the paperwork I need from 71-72?. Orig licence plate frames, addt'l paperwork, etc. ? I do have the original sales invoice but if I can find anything else that pertains to the car it would sure be nice. I do appreciate it even if I cant spell Chevys!
