Default how to tell an GM crossram from repo

I am going to look at a (supposedly) complete NOS GM crossram setup. What are some tips to make sure it is the real thing and not a repo? Don't all the repos have the same date cast into them or somthing? Thanks in advance!

There is a post about these either on this site or the Camaros.net site. Not sure which. There are several differences. The most telling is that, at least from what one of the guys posted, all the casting dates are the same on the repros. I remember the statement "boy I would hate to have a real one that happened to be dated the same"

Seems like the other difference was casting flash. Wish I could give you more info. Do a search here and at Camaros.net.

If you look at heartbeat citys' pictures at least you will be able to see the differences of a dolled up Offy intake and what a repop looks like.
