I have asked this guy for info on the cowl tag and haven't heard back. My bet it will jump up at the end quite a bit.

Dont worry about that one, guys. I went and looked at the car Tuesday night.
Manual drums, single brake line, no exhaust plate, block is decked, wrong everything on the engine. No tach or gauges. It had a muncie in it, but not originally since the speedo hole in the firewall was near the fuse block. On top of all that, the body is very rough. LA car, 69 69 711. With basically no info given and the owner not knowing much about the car, had to go look, at least. dave

dave [/ QUOTE ] Good try Dave....that's the feeling I got too from the little info and a non car guy owner. . But you never know and each visit that's a no-go is a bit more wisdom and one step closer to the real deal! ~ Pete
