Default Water Pump Rebuilding?

I would like to rebuild the stock original water pump in my 70 Z-28 but do not know if a kit or the parts are available. I have a hydraulic press and can make the necessary pusher parts for the install. Does someone do this for a reasonable price?

It may be easier to let a pro do it. Thanks,

Paul

Arthur Gould in Fort Salonga, New York does outstanding work on fuel pumps; he does most of the NCRS guys' pumps. About $65.00, 3-day turnaround. (631) 269-0093.

Bill Mock in Bartlesville, Oklahoma also does great work; (918) 333-0748.

Yes Art does water pumps as well as fuel pumps.
If you are brave Long Island Corvette Supply sells the rebuild kits for the do-it your selfers (Big Block and Small Block). They are very easy to rebuild. The only thing you need to be carful with is on original pumps with the cast iron impeller it must be supported correctly or it will break. I found out the hard way good thing I had a pile of original ones at the time.

Arthur Gould did my water pump and I'm happy, too.

Are you guys serious, he does fuel pumps too First person I've ever heard of who rebuilds fuel pumps. I still have my original one, guess I'll have to send it off to him.

Bill,

Am I correct in assuming that this is the guy you were talking to my brother Gary about?
