Clutch/Flywheel advice
I am getting ready to order a clutch and flywheel for my 1968 Camaro. Any recomendations on type or manufacturer? The car currently has a turbo 400 behind an L72 (427/425) with 4.11's. The turbo 400 is being swapped for a M-22. Car is driven maybe 200 miles a year but it does see quite a bit of extreme usage when it is out and could actually end up going down a track on occasion. I generally run M&H (10 inch wide) muscle car drag tires on it. Thanks for any suggestions

Try "Centerforce" brand. Alot of pressue and easy to push. They use a unique centrifugal setup to increase pressure without wearing you out and always bark the ties a little for that just right sound with no rpm run up. Summit has them.

Ditto on the Centerforce clutch. We have them in a number of our cars and they work great.

Also look into the Hayes and Ram units.
I personally think with a BBC car, Centerforce units are weak.

I have had a 11" Hayes "Street & Strip" diaphram clutch in my Chevelle since 1988 and it still works great.

Thanks for the input. I have used a centerforce with good results on an LT1 but didn't know if it would stand up to the big block.

Don't get fooled by pedal effort. I run one behind a Yenko clone thats a 427/550 dyno'd and never made it slip with radials. Never used slicks or with mini tubbed ford 9" though. That could make a difference.

Anyone running a McLeod clutch? Or have any opinions on it or other brands? Sorry for all the questions but I really want to pick the correct clutch and do this job once.
