Is this a correct carrier for a COPO??

Al, I'm not an expert on the COPO stuff, but looking at Jerry's book he shows the COPO posi unit having the smaller clutch springs and a Trans Am unit having the larger clutch springs like the one in the auction. He also says that Moroso sold the Trans Am unit with the large clutch springs as their Moroso Brute Strength posi. I would get more numbers off that unit to be able to verify it. Also have him count the number of teeth on the gear. The COPO rear had 16 teeth and the standard 12 bolt had 18 teeth. Jerry lists the posi unit as part # 3916234 and the 4.10 ring and pinion as part # 3917971. This is for the Camaro rear so I'm not sure if the Chevelle is any different.

Looks like a GM 4 series with a Moroso Brute Strength posi. It is not correct for a COPO BE rear as stated in the ad. Not a bad buy at that price if it is in good shape.
