Can anyone help me decipher if these are originals or re-stamps? I assume the letters were held in a gang and hit with a mallet. The YH's I have here (January thru March, ’69) are definitely parallel to each other. I question the fact that the letters 'YH' are not parallel to each other...the 'Y' appears to be tipped to the left. Does anyone have an early ‘YH’ wheel to compare? It also appears that the date code digits (on either side of the valve stem hole) aren't parallel. Anything you can do to help verify would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx, Rich ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

look like restamps to me....12-16 is for sure, the YH as u said should be parallel.., the dates are gang stamped ans should be in a perfect line across . . and many times, the do not get the center correct and are too far to the left, so the the day is slightly cut off....or maybe the punch the whole after the date is put on the wheel...anyhow they seem to be too perfect aligned left and right....also...id have to check, but the K19's usually have a dash in between.

They are original stampings period. I took them off the car myself. You didn't win the auction anyway so why do you care?

You can come over and inspect them in person if you'd like before I ship them out, if that would ease your mind. The photos are very deceptive.
