I have mounted up an old set of Torque Thrusts. 3 of the wheels and tires are holding air just fine. One is leaking in the area of the tire bead. Any suggestions for dealing with this before I give up and put a tube in the tire? Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help. I cleaned everything up as you suggested. Instead of the RTV I used some bead sealer (which is a brush on rubber glop)from the tire shop. Problem is now solved. Actually the bead sealer is a little lighter consistency than the RTV but very similar.

Just wondering... is there anything "wrong" with putting a tube in a bias ply tire? I have done it before on tires I've had sealing problems with, and never had any problems, but was just wondering if it's considered a bad thing to do?
