Default Car show with Mrs. Gibb.

Last Sunday Gene Engler and I pulled down to Washington Ill. Just East of Peoria. We'd been invited down by the Ill. chapter of NNN to the Uftring Chevy dealership for a car show/display. Also there was Mrs. Helen Gibb, her daughter Nancy, and Mayor Brown. I've visited with Mrs Gibb before, but had the opportunity to set and talk at length with her this time. What a cool experience that was. That alone made the trip well worthwhile.
Also found some leads on a couple of deuces, and the owner of the dealership had a 69 L89 nova. The car was delivered new as an L78, and he claims to have a work order that shows the heads were installed the same day as it arrived. I've heard this story about 3 times now. I tend to think that for some reason this is how you got an L89 nova. And why there is no specific suffix code. Something like the headers in the trunk of early Z's I could be wrong, and my good friend Mr Howie is sure I am, but the same senario keeps poping up. So we'll see.
