Thursday in Chicago Illinois

Well we arrived in the Chicago area Wednesday night and went to the race track on Thursday, we walked the pits and watched sportsman qualifying, and picked up our souvenirs. We renewed our acquaintance with the Wenzel brothers from Michigan, they were there in their 1967 Z28 which they bought brand new for racing. Almost 40 years later and they are still racing it in the Stock class, we met them at Indy when they were pitting with Jerry MacNeish. They finished 8th in the nation in points last year.
We also saw a potential Yenko chevelle racing, it had an SS steering wheel though, so maybe not..

Thursday afternoon we headed up to DarrenX33's house, where we met his lovely wife Adrianna. Jeff Morocco also showed up, along with a few other folks. From there, we headed to Barrington, which has a Thursday night cruise, gathering folks along the way. Darren let me drive his 69 Z, in which I tried to keep up with his beautiful blue70 L78 car. What a blast to drive, I can't thank you enough D! (I will ship you that new clutch as soon as I get home...
