Default Seattle Chevy Show 7-16-06

Pacific NorthWest Camaro Club All-Chevy Show held at the XXX drive-in at Issaquah, about 20 miles east of Seattle. Met up with "Seattle Sam" Besser, Chuck Sharin "CamarosRus," and Denis Gilbert, among many other car guys. I'll add captions where appropriate.

'69 L78 Olympic Gold/green guts. Super nice owner.

8-second Chevelle with twin-turbo Rat!

Twin-turbo with intercooler behind passenger seat! Note pipe heading back through firewall to intercooler! Super nice owner too.

This Kingswood Estate pulled in and was VERY rump-rump and I went right over to it. Turns out it's a COPO L72/auto! Man, it sounded GOOD.

Chuck Sharin's neat '70 RS/SS 350/4-speed with just the right amount of "patina."

Another BY Camaro, a '68 this time. Cool owner and car had new Gardner duals that had a nice tone. I might have to get a Gardner system for my '67 L35.

4K on the cowl tag!

Royal Plum, right? Tag said M-M.

Nice 327 stocker '67. Always worthy of a photo!

For a second I thought this was Denis Gilbert's little-old-lady '67 SS 350 but then I remembered his is an RS.

"Seattle Sam" brought his new Trailblazer SS and parked it next to his wife's '67 RS/SS 350 convert, seen below.

Bill...thanks buddy!

I had a great time up by Lake Tahoe. There were some cool cars up there, too! I think that people were getting their cars sorted out for Hot August Nights, maybe?

I, too, think that your Camaro "rocks"! Seattle Sam's and Chuck Sharin's cars look fine, too!

What a show with some nice cars! Thanks for the pictures! I would like to hear that black chevelle with the supercharger and 3 inch exhaust. It must sound mean.

And I only took pictures of about a third of the cars that were there. Hey, in Seatte we pay a high price for our summer sun: months of gloomy rain and drizzle! When the cars come out it's usually a pretty good show.

As for that twin-turbo 8-sec Chevelle, I missed its arrival so I didn't get to hear it. It's probably safe to assume that when it fires, mothers grab their terrified children and run as far away from it as possible.
