Thanks to the SCW, Donna Mae Mims will be attending SCR12.
Donna Mae, or "the Pink Lady", was a very accomplished road racer, but to Yenko fanatics, she was best known as being Yenko's "Manager-Hi Performance Sales", handling most of the paperwork and other matters related to the hi-performance side of Yenko Chevrolet.

We had Donna Mae @ the 40th Yenko Stinger Reunion a few years ago in Twinsburg and @ Nelson Ledges. It was a blast. She is still just as active and sharp as can be. the "Pink Lady" showed up in all pink, even her sun glasses were pink!!!!
Ya'll are in for a real treat!!!! ![]() ![]()

Back when few folks were interested in Yenkos, Donna Mae was gracious enough to attend the very first SCR, not only dressed in pink, but driving all the way from PA in her Pink Corvette, the one with the Marilyn Monroe mural on the hood. Also, attending were Hope Yenko (Don’s wife), and one of Don’s best friends and an occasional co-driver, Ed Lowther. To this day I still laugh out loud when I think of some of the stories Ed told at the banquet. Unfortunately we lost Ed not long after that event. It was a real treat listening to the three of them reminisces about the “good old days”, as they had not spent time together since the early ‘70s.

Still remember that like it was yesterday...hard to believe it was over a decade ago. I have a photo autographed by all 3 (Donna Mae, Hope Yenko, and Ed Lowther) and consider it one of my most precious pieces of memorabilia. Ed's presentation/speech/guest appearance at SCR1 is still the best one ever in my opinion. Wish he was still around.
