Not to change the subject, but can anyone tell me why some of the 69 Yenkos air cleaner sticker were 450 HP and some 425? If Keiths car is the same one I owned it said 450 HP. I even had somewhat of a small bet with a younger type of "expert". That's what prompted me to call the original owner of the Karen Chev. Fathom green car.

I don't think they came with a sticker at all when new, most were added later - hence the different HP ratings.

[/ QUOTE ] Hey Nazareth Motorcars, how do you think I got my screen name here? Speaking of stickers under the hood of what might be your old car, she still actually has the original fan shroud "YENKO/SC" sticker which is in great shape. I'll bet most today have the reproduction. The exterior stripe decals were replaced. However, the ends of the originals were cut and never removed then the new decal was matched up. For example under the cowl hood the original (yellowed) hood decal still wraps around. Also, in the door jams the very ends of the original decals still exist. Just thought I would share this with you. |
