Default Try to ID what year Christmas this is...

For those you of the original Hot Wheels redline era (baby boomers from 67 to 71). Here is today's Christmas photo. Hot Wheels reissued all of their original track sets including the Supercharger units. All in their original packaging and artwork! As you can see it took all of 5 minutes for my boy to route both superchargers into each other for a high-speed smash-up derby. I just cringe knowing that my brothers and I did the exact same thing with our new Hot Wheels back in 68. You can also see the Mongoose and Snake set complete with reissued yellow Cuda and red Duster funny cars and parachutes!

Very cool!!! .

Really nice to see kids on Christmas morning too...hang on tight and enjoy it all now as those magic years can be gone in a moment! .

Have they reissued those old shift handle reload rubber band powered supercharger things too...a lot of us probably did our first 'shifts' on these...what were they called? .

Merry Christmas! .

Love the dog...hey Lincoln Logs too!

My best Hot Wheel (I'm 46) was a red Heavy Chevy. That was the best for actually being able to do the loop. The other good one was a teal green T-Bird. My purple 57 Chevy convertible was simply horrible. It would get to the top of the loop and.........plop on its back.

I also had the Snake and Mongoose funny car drag set.

You had me there for a minute then I noticed the Rubbermaid basket.

Does the pooch want to play or chew up some good tasting plastic?

Steve I just recently noticed that they released some "Hot Wheels Classic" sets. I have only seen them on eBay though. What store do I go to? Speaking of Hot Wheels, I'm in the same boat. Bought my son Sizzlers. Target has the re-issue. We've been racing all morning. Honestly the best gift this year...

Target sells the Sizzlers. I saw some of the track sets at Sears but I ended up buying the whole collection on ebay for about $200. Here's a link to the a typical set: http://cgi.ebay.com/HOT-WHEELS-CLASSIC-T...1QQcmdZViewItem

There's three of them and she is probably the best behaved. It's the little one that wants to chew. I have never seen a dog that wanted to eat metal cars as much as she does but hey, we try to work her into the scenario..."Look out, it's Dog-Ma coming to crush Tokyo. Oh Godzilla where are you when we need you..."

My Daughter just gave this to my Son. I didn't know they re-released it. Cool.

I can't believe that they reissued the original superchargers, I had been looking at them on ebay last year.
