`67 Malibu...VIN shows 138 Atlanta built car (unless my eyes are finally starting to go). The trim tag shows 136, also Atlanta built, but I believe the trim tag that's shown is on the white parts car in the ad. At first I thought the 138 tag might be on the 2nd parts car, but that car appears to be all white, but the 138 tag is on a brown doorjamb. Doesn't look to ever have been tampered with either. ![]() Eric |

Looking at the way he's laid out his other pics it appears both Vin and Trim tag are on the brown car? .
Here's clickable links to the other pics. . http://www.kytle.net/Chevelle http://www.kytle.net/Chevelle2 There's no Vin or Trim tag shown for the parts car that I can see yet I think the Y code paint is for Yellow so could be off or still on the parts car and he's mixed up the pics? . The tags don't look like they've been moved and I see the 138 Vin is attached w/ the flower rivets...is this correct for '67? . Is there a 12 bolt in one of the cars? . Here's a link to some decode info and more stuff you can perhaps verify a few things yourself...check interior colors etc. . http://www.chevellestuff.com/toc.htm Good luck! ![]() ~ Pete

Pete looks to me like the 136 cowl tag has been changed.Look at the way the black paint is flaked off in the rivit area. Also the parts car does not have the plastic wire retainer still hanging so the picture must be the brown car. On the 138 that is a strange one for sure. Car is malibu to the bone and it does not look like this tag had been off. However the car looks like it may have been hit hard at one time by the body work along side the windshield, replacement door, fender and inner fender .Possible they changed the door post at the same time from a 138 car. Does look more gold than brown but hard to say.
