Some one obviously added the trim tag to this car. Maybe it was the A/C that gave it a way. DUH!
Plus a list of other wrong things. Fake 1971 Z/28 Rick H. |

1973 due to the change from solid to hyd lifters along with a lower HP rating. I have been told by a reliable source that there was a 72Z with factory A/C, but I didn't actually see the car.

After viewing the auction, I noticed a few other items. It does have the rear swaybar along with the rear bumperetts as a Z28 should. There is no sign of factory A/C inside the car at all. I would almost think that someone decided to add A/C to the car, but who knows. The tach is also wrong, so the dash assy could have been completly swapped out.

I've never seen a 1972 Z/28 with factory A/C. Then again I 've never seen a 1971 Z with factory A/C either. That is unil I saw this one. Must be super rare.

I've seen a '72 Z with air, way back in my youth at the Stan Hywet show in Akron, Ohio. Auto trans. That was (at least) over 10 years ago-- It's possible it was a clone as well...

It's also missing the all important floor mounted gas pedal.
Although it has the sway bar I would want to see the frame attachment point. I sold a guy a rear swaybar for his 1970 Camaro and he used the later year bolt on style frame attachments. Interior has been changed out. It is suppose to have dark blue interior (776). Lower dash is wrong for standard interior as well. I still don't think the car is question is real. Maybe it is a combination of 2 cars? ![]() Rick H. |

[/ QUOTE ] I said that I had been told of ONE 72Z with A/C, and that was by MadMike who runs the NastyZ28 board. I recall him telling me about one that he had seen with the "L" coded VIN, dentoting a factory Z28. As I said above, I never saw this car, but I would consider the source very reliable. |

All I was just saying was that I have never seen a 1972 Z/28 with A/C myself. All information I have ever seen or read says that A/C was not available in the 1972 Z/28.
