Default Possible new info on deuce dealer

Does anyone remember, or have any info on Ray Rickson Dodge/racing cars in St. Louis Mo. I found, through a mutual friend, an original deuce owner who bought his deuce through this dealer in 1970. Red/blk 4spd. Had it 6 months, and totaled it. I havn't talked personally with the guy yet, but he didn't believe he had any pics, or paperwork anymore. Anyboby

Nope, never heard of a deuce being sold via a Dodge Dealer!

That's possible. I think it ties in some how to the race car side. Maybe some kind of dealer trade, or something. The owner has no reason to not tell the truth. He had no idea that deuces were worth anything. Was kinda amazed that anyone even cared about it at all. Before the deuce he had a SS 396 68 nova 4spd.(yea I first thought Gibb until the 4 spd) so he was no novice to hipo cars. After the deuce he wound up with a 340 duster 6 pak, which unless I'm mistaken was something Grand Spalding Dodge offered. I will talk to him asap.

It's certainly possible. Those dealers in the St. Louis area did some dealer trading - ie; a silver a/t no p/s deuce went from Peck Chev. in Little Rock, AR to Johnny Londoff Chev. in MO, so a Dodge dealer/race car outfit isn't impossible.

I talked with the original deuce owner this morning. He said that it was brought in to Ray Rickman on the race car sales end. He thought it came outta Joplin Mo., but the list only show an auto. Maybe it's on one of the missing lists. He hit a pole, and rolled it several times. Said it ran real well, and could hold it's own with most anything that wasn't modified. He must have known something as he said he drove an AFX Dodge for Rickman.

That's the only deuce dealer in the Joplin area - so, it was probably R&S.

I need to retract the "Ray Rickman" thought. While talking with Rich Gebhardt last night he handed me a photo album with some old pix taken at Beardstown Drag Strip. Also in the album was a folder of other old race cars, and in that folder was a photo from April '68 of the "Ray Rixman Dodge" Candy Striped Dart F/C.
The photo is now in the sYc Photo gallery and I'll ask one of the moderators/administrators to paste it into this response if they would. (Sorry Bruce, but I'm still techno-challenged! )

Bruce WILL be having a "how to post pictures tutorial" "live" at SCRX...that is, if I'm there!

If not...I will have to travel the country and visit each members house.
