Default Running Bair

Does anybody remember a guy by the name of Ted Bair? He ran a DY ZL1 in IHRA, back in the '70's. Lived here in central Ohio.

Let me try it this way. Ted Bair ran the #57 ZL1, sold at Brewers Chevrolet in KY. The name on the side of the car was Running Bair.

Ted may not have been the original owner, but I met a guy at a car show who worked on his crew, and let me copy these pics.

They started out running NHRA, but the class rules limited them to 11.6 secs. They switched to IHRA and set a national class record in the mid 70's. Look close at the hood.

All 3 pics were shot at the 1/8th mile track in LaRue, OH on Rt. 42.
Does anybody know what happened to the #57 ZL1, is it still arould? I would be happy to put the owner of these pics in touch with the current owner. He has more, but I had to shoot these out of his album, instead of scanning them.
Thanks to anybody with any info on the car.
Andy

Andy did they switch to IHRA or AHRA? It almost looks like AHRA on the hood.

The last person that owned #57 ZL-1, I thought was Larry Christenson.

The ZL1 is restored and in Scottsdale. Dave C owns it. Sending you his email.

Rick, he said it was IHRA. All I know is that he couldn't beat the Hemi's in NHRA, so they switched.
Fred, I know how you feel.
Thanks, Charlie. email sent.
So, does anybody know who Ted Bair was, or what happened to him?
