Last weekend at the Toyo Tires Nationals it was $10 to park!
First event I've ever heard of a parking fee being charged.

They have been doing that at Joliet/Rt 66 the day they opened the doors.

I think they've been charging to park for as long as I've been going. I was there Friday, great weather, great racing, elbow-to-elbow seating so the place was packed.

I heard the place was sold again too, but like last time - we don't know. They moved the Nationals up a month to avoid the hurricane season. Guess what, it rained on Sunday, & Monday, and it's a torrential downpour right now on Tuesday. So, it looks like a reschedule is in order - maybe October when the air is awesome????

there is nothing like the "track is sold" rumor to get local couch potatos to go to the races !!!
it works here at Riverhead every year!!
