And that "Body # covered to protect buyer" statement sure couldn't be more opposite to reality!. When's that Oklahoma tag legislation coming into effect...can't wait to see how far it reaches in the whole scheme of things w/ eBay etc!. ~ Pete ![]()

Of course the number was covered to protect the buyer. It's the buyer that will build a fake car, not the seller! It probably translates to more money for the seller too, so it's a two way street. If I were buying a trim tag off ebay in order to build a fake, I'd pay more for one for which the body number had not been made public.

There should be a registry of ebay tags with their body numbers, so bogus cars can be identified easier.
