Default Nascar - Jeff Gordon

Out of all the Hendrick cars, Gordon is having a terrible season so far. Very uncharacteristic of him. Its said all the Hendrick teams share set-up and tech info. Dale Jr. and Jimmy Johnson seem to be in the battle but not Gordon.

Has he lost his touch?

Gordon hasnt lost his touch. The 48 has been off in a few races this year also. All the teams are trying to get a handle on the new car, just as they did back in the early 80s when they went to the small/downsized cars.

Hendrick and Gordon have not lost their touch. The other teams have just caught up with them. Hendrick had great success last year with the C.O.T. in the races that used them. Historically Gordon never runs well at Texas, he will be in the hunt soon.

Testing was not allowed at Texas this year so nobody had any data to use for setup. His car was junk when it rolled off the hauler and they just couldn't get it turned around. Gordon's team is and has been the best at making in-race adjustments but Sunday they were too far off the mark to start. He'll be in the final 12.

I got into a NASCAR pool with some of my buds, and by the time they asked me if I wanted in, Gordon was seemingly the best choice left so I took him. Given my luck, it is definitely my fault Gordon is having problems. I am afraid that he is cursed now for this season. He is only costing me an average of 8 dollars a week, I hope he gets his shtuff together soon.
