Guys, for a 1970 L78 or LS6 engine with a cable style throttle assembly, what finish should the accelerator/throttle cable bracket be.. Black or Gold Cad????????

Neither. They should be gray phosphate.

Rick, When you use the description GRAY Phosphate, are you actually using ZINC Phosphate or MANGANESE Phosphate to achieve the GRAY color ?????......
I have in the past used the Manganese Phosphate from PALMETTO Ent, but thus far never used his Zinc Phosphate. Thanks for the always informative help.

Everyone calls it something different. The bracket on the right was plated for Chris White by someone he uses. The one on the left was done by Steve Gregory and he calls it zinc phosphate. Seems most people generically call it gray phosphate.
