Default 39 Years Ago Yesterday...

Probably doesn't seem like much in today's world of cell phones and text messaging...but 39 years ago yesterday we landed on the moon. These space pioneers were real heros to my generation...we need more like them today.

That's for damn sure. I've got most (if not all) of the Apollo astronaut patches(some signed) thanks to my dad!

I was just cleaning some stuff up over at my mom's house and came across a coffee mug commemorating the Apollo 11 flight. Neat stuff and brought back a lot of memories from back then.

I was 8 years old and at summer camp. I remember watching the launch on the black and white tv at the camp's center pavillion. Neat stuff at the time.

My dad bought our first new Color TV (with the reasoning that we needed to see them land on the moon in color). From what I remember...most of the coverage was in black and white.

My mom wasn't really happy
