Default NEW Z28

I HERE THAT GM HAS DELAYED THE RELISS OF THE NEW Z-28 BECAUSE OF THE SLOW SALES MARKET. I THOUGHT THE NEW CAMARO WAS SELLING WELL AND THAT GM HAD THE GO AHEAD TO MAKE THE NEW Z-28 ANY NEWS FROM ANY ONE THAT KNOWS THE TRUTH.

The 2011 Z/28 is not confirmed yet, but some guys are pre-ordering it from their local dealer who say it's may or may not happen. Here is a link to Camaro5 forums, where guys are hoping that GM builds a supercharged Z/28.

This does not sound logical - GM will be bypassing the 100,000 mark on 2010 Camaros built at the end of this week. As well, the Camaro has outsold the Mustang for 8 months and running. The only concern that I could see that GM would have is that for 2011 Ford is bringing back a 5.0 liter engine that is completely re-engineered with horsepower levels comparable to that of the 2010 LS3 Camaro.

As for the Z-28, speculation is that GM will be using the LSA supercharged motor that is currently pushing about 560hp in the Cadillac CTS-V. This is also the same supercharger that is running in the LS9 ZR1 Corvette.

Being that the Z-28 is all rumored at this time, I would take any news with a grain of salt and await true press releases from GM.

I SURE HOPE THEY BRING THE NAME PLATE BACK, AND IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE A MORDEN COPO LIKE FORD HAS IN THE MUSTANGE AND DODGE HAS IN THE CHALLENGER RACE ONLY CARS. PLEASE WAKE UP GM.

The present demand is only enough to keep one shift running. The Convertible is coming out this fall. There isn't a lot of profit in only running one shift. They are planning on running the new Buick Regal on the same line, so they aren't anticipating any big increases in Camaro sales, as in Z/28. Don't be surprised if it doesn't happen...at least for a while.
