Default Whitney

Although she lived a drug riddled life once she found success,
I think this is THE best rendition of the Star Spangled banner I ever heard/saw to date.

I feel no remorse... Here is a worldly talent with more $ and resources to better her life from the drug laden path but she chose not to. While I am not insinuating it is easy nor simple to pull your life from the gutter but at least be selfless enough to care for your family and friend's sake. Those are the ones I feel for in this situation...

Well she at least tried...

I saw her comeback tour at the show in Stockholm a few years ago. It was really sad to see, a few days before she had been booed by the audience in Copenhagen. The show in Stockholm was better but she had difficulty to sing, sometimes she was of key and the high tones from her younger days were gone. It was really sad to see a so good talent go to waste.

The company with Bobby Brown was something she should've stayed away from.

There were a lot of flags and patriotism in that audience....<span style="font-weight: bold">.<span style="font-size: 23pt">Desert Storm was underway!!</span></span>

Thanks for posting that. It's how I would choose to remember Whitney. One of the purest voices I have ever heard in her prime. And now one of the entertainment industry's saddest stories.

Completely agree....but my reason for starting this topic, was to reflect back on one shining moment of her turmoiled life.

Nothing more.

She was an amazing talent and should be remembered for her contribution to the music and entertainment industry. She will be missed by the millions who appreciated her music and talent. Tragically it appears she has passed on due to her disease and addictions, but hopefully that is not what she will be remembered for.

Very well said Steve. Although I'm not a huge fan Whitney, she had a voice that will never be forgotten.
