Default Real Sidepipes

I've been having a lot of people ask me about sidepipes, and I've been looking for a pair (not that I could afford them if I found them, but) myself. The only place I can find now that even closely resembles the pipes is Hooker. But they only sell the decorative collector that you need to plumb into your regular header collector.

Does anyone know:
The correct sidepipe length for a second gen camaro?
Can someone with access to the real header get detailed photos of the exhaust setup, specifically the primary pipes and how they merge into the collector.
And who, if anyone makes or can make a functional sidepipe setup.

The sidepipes I'm talking about are visible in the link to the photo below.

Besides Hooker, some of the original Motion cars used "Kustom Headers" products out of Michigan. They have not been in business for years. They had the correct sidepipes and looked identical to the Hookers. Hooker still makes the original "real" side pipes for the '70-'80 Camaro's but for small block only. The length would probably be the same as B/B. The pipe from the 4 into 1 area on back is the same for the sb & B/B (4 inches to be exact))I still see original "real" 4 into on side pipes for B/B '70-80 Camaros, abeit used at Swaps meets occasionaly. Probably will be buying them from now on.
As for the car in the picture, Mark Timken had his header pipes custom made but used the side pipes/mufflers from Hooker I believe.

MadMike,
I don't know of anyone making the header/side pipe for the Motion Camaro you show in the picture. Motion was also using the 67 Corvette side pipe on the sec. gen. Camaro (at least on one car). These are available and look good on the 70 Camaro maybe even better looking then those big chrome ones.

There was an article in one of the old CARS magazines showing how Motion mounted the corvette side exhausts to the Camaro. They used regular headers and put in a custom "S" pipe to make the connection. It looked pretty restrictive to me. with this set-up, you could easily uncork the headers at the strip or for some LOUD cruising on Friday night.

Mike,
Hooker reproduced the headers and sidepipes for my 73 Phase 3 Chevelle 427 They sent them to me in black and I had to have them chromed. I delt with Todd in the tech dept. He was very helpfull.
