It is original unrestored with one repaint. the interior is 100% original. i have a weak spot for Cars with unusual options or collor combinations. The wheels are the only modified part on the car. I have only heard of three other coupes with this interior. For those of you not familliar with the D80 discussion this car was mentioned as the great pumpkin because of the orange/orange collor combo. It is a well optioned car along with the code 720 Orange Houndstooth interior. what do you think guys?

A friend from our local club here has one as well. The story told with it is it was orig sold off the Yenko lot. It's a good contrast for the guys pace car as it has white stripes. The combination sure draws attention at shows...

Dennis, I think I read about that car in an issue of Camaro World Magazine. It had Z/28 style stripes and other personal touches to the car that werent original. Most people are unsure of the collor combo until they see it. I ran across a 69 Z/28 online that was a canadian car that is original black with orange interior. If I remember correctly it was priced at $65,000, Im sure it is still for sale. Thanks for the positive replies on the picture.

Kurt,
I believe the car was an X33 car with no console and endura. But it is supposed to be an original documented Canadian car. I like the car exept for the white stripes, should be orange. If I remember right the price was $65,000. We also looked at a 69 BB car original black with Yellow Houndstooth. Beware of that car, cowl tag has been removed at one time. The website is http://WWW.CamaroHeaven.net Thanks guys. |

The removal and reinstallation of the original trim tag is pretty common for a frame-off resto.

There are 8 like that in the database. Not real common.
I junked a twin to that car last year. 72-72, 720 SS350 car, rusted beyond salvage. I still like the car a guy found the other day. 67-67, 718 (maroon with red interior). That's a great combo.
