I am posting this here in the lounge because it isn't SuperCar related, but may be SuperCar "owner" related. I found this ad for a car for sale today. http://adcache.collectorcartraderonl...4/31433714.htm
It mentions Bill Porterfield as the builder?? I remember this car from the magazines in '78 but is this the same Bill Porterfield we all know? (racer/owner of ZL1 #1???) Does anyone remember this car from '78? (sorry, don't know Bill P's history, outside of his racing career, very well) Ken |

Yeah ,that is ZL1 Bill's creation per a discusion on this site. I remember when I first saw the magazine feature and thinking, who would invest all the time and $$$$ in such a project, however cool it may be?

Somewhere in my library, I have the original feature and build up of this car. Seems like it was offered for sale sometime in the early '80's if I recall. Not too bad a price all things considered.

I remember the car from the CC Nats/Indy in '78. Was fairly well engineered as I recall and was as oddball then (Pro Street era) as it is today. Cool it's still around, I think.
