Default Totalled COPO?

I was up bright and early this morning so we could pull our docks up out of the Delaware River here in NJ. A balmy 19 degrees out when we started. Everybody gets together and we have a tow truck come and winch them up the riverbank(about 80-100' at a 60-70 degree angle). Anyway, I was talking to one of the guys about his 69 RS/SS L78 car he used to have(he still knows who owns it). He mentioned someone in our area(central NJ just north of Trenton) who used to have a Yellow 69 Camaro with no markings on it but had a cowl hood, spoilers and a 427. He said the guy rolled it over and the insurance company totalled it. This guy knew nothing about the COPO cars so I don't think it was a built car. It's amazing what you can find out just by talking to your neighbours about cars.
