This is an early wedding present from my parents! Since they will not be able to bring it to our wedding on Sept. 2 they gave it to us last weekend when we went back to IN to visit. Very cool!!! That is my fiance' posing with it (whom I met on the '03 Power Tour.) The pump is originally from the mid to late '50s I believe, but the globe is a repro that my dad added to it. I don't think we would ever have the spare coin to spend on something like this so we are very excited about it.

That is cool to have the Lady you Love enjoy old automobilia items and automobiles! VERY COOL! I want an old gas pump like that but SWEETIE would think I am crazy bringing one home!She would ask me to make it work so we don't have to go to the station for gas!LOL

Tokheim 300 short? Looks just like one of mine. They make great security lights outside the garage door.

Most people gut them if they're going inside a shop, etc.
Mine sit outside so I prefer to leave all the heavy stuff in place so they don't 'walk away' when no one is watching.

Congrats on the unique Wedding Gift! Sounds like there might be some strange blood in your family........... you lucky dog!

I stripped a similar one back in the 70's (the pump) on a boring afternoon at the shop I was working at...it was heading to the dumpster anyway and they didn't have the value then nor did I have a place to keep it even if I wanted it but I saved and still have one of the ESSO frosted glass faces that was below the readout glass opening also the little side glass bubble the gumballs danced around in if someone needs it?.

The coolest one I ever saw was one in a magazine about 10 years ago that a guy had in his shop...he'd gutted it and plumbed in a urinal which was hidden when the door was closed!.

I kinda want to put it outside, but we want to keep it in good condition and don't want it to get stolen. I think it will look good down here.
