Comparatively little is known about non-Yenko COPOs. There is limited data on colors, equipment, etc.
Several known dealers of COPOs ordered RS: Emmert was one, Berger, Frost, Courtesy, Malcom Konner sold RS COPOs. Several still exist. Courtesy had its own COPO hood stripe. Two ZL1s were RS and both survive. Emmert is known to have ordered several special paint COPOs. I saw one at SC-Martin, MI in the '80s. It was Can-Am White [Corvette color] with a medium green standard interior.

Talk to Jim Mattison at PHS here ordered all of Emmerts COPO Camaros (He was dating the daughter of the owner of Emmert at the time while working in the Central office at GM) and remembers them quite well they were all loaded up or had special colors.

The only X22 code COPO 9561 which I have ever seen was certified and included in Ed. Cuneens COPO connection book. It was not from Emmert. "The X22 Code Copo which I was referring to ,I believe belongs to Bob and Larry Adock. The info I have shows that it was sold out of Courtesy Chevrolet in Sebring Ohio. It is an early 01B car with 713 Trim and 72 72 Paint with X22." The Emmert COPOs which I have seen were not X22 Camaros. |

Auton. i have looked and looked to find him but to no avail.I have spoken to Jim Mattison about this car but that was before we really knew what it is and he kind of gave me the cold shoulder like he didn't believe us. |

Emmert was known to have ordered COPOs in a Pontiac color, Verdoro Green. The remains of one of them was in the swap meet at SC-Indy in the '90s. Haven't heard of it since.
