Default 67 Royal Plum Z28

I have a friend I do some horse trading with, Has alot of parts and cars but never really does anything with them, nor does he hang out in any car crowds or shows, much the same as me I guess.. I was over at his house and we went into his front garage to look at a 454, there was a 67 RS Camaro with a hughe mound of boxes and junk on it, you can barely get into to garage with all the parts in there, The car is against the door typical of me I and just stuck my head under it and noticed a 12 bolt, I asked him what it was and he said a Z28 The paint is all ground off with a weld grinder it looks like then spray can primer, The Tank is out and a fuel cell in the trunk, I could see in the back glass it had a cage and the very bad the dash had been cut out and a aluminum panel in place. I could see purple around the back of the car and asked if that was the factory color he said yes, I also asked him if he was sure it was a Z28 he said he had decoded the tag I believe him he is aware of everything he has, I didnt want to seem too excited over it, he said it was too modified to restore, But it is rust free and not narrowed, Would this car be worth the effort to try and get? Im sure I could work out something with him but it also needs alot of parts to buy not to mention the work.

If it's an old road race car with Trans-Am history, it might even be worth more if left as a racer than restored to stock.

No road racer this thing has just been a hot rod tossed around military (Air Force) guys from base to base and sat in a garage now for the last 10 years. I will slide my old friend some ideas when the time is right, But I need a look at the TT first.

Yeah, you definitely want to check out the trim tag first before making an offer. Best to get a picture and make sure it is not a repro tag.
